Your dreams deserve a space to be held, protected, and remembered. Holly's Dream Jars are sacred, hand-formed vessels designed to sit by your bedside, acting as a talisman for your deepest desires.

Each smoke-kissed stoneware vessel is wheel-thrown and hand-altered. They are then finished using unpredictable alternative firing methods, including traditional Raku, Naked Raku, Horse Hair, and Saggar techniques. Because the flame, smoke, and elements decide the final design, every single vessel is completely unique. No two jars will ever be the same, making yours an entirely personal piece of functional art.

The Ritual of the Dream Jar:

Place your jar somewhere meaningful (your nightstand, an altar, or a quiet corner of your room). When a dream, goal, or wish takes root, speak it out loud directly to the vessel. Every time your eyes catch the jar during the day, let it serve as a tangible, embodied reminder of the dreams you are actively bringing to life.

This vessel brings the raw alchemy of the fire element into your space. By channeling its spark of creativity, deep purpose, and dynamic action, this jar acts as a powerful catalyst to help you transmute your deepest dreams into a tangible reality.

The Process of Dream Jar No. 3

Unlike standard high-fire pottery, this piece relies on an enclosed firing method known as Saggar firing, where the clay captures the ghost-like imprints of nature itself.

After the jar is shaped, Holly waits for it to become bone dry. It is then hand-burnished with terra sigillata (an ultra-fine liquid clay slip) to achieve a silky, glass-like smoothness before its first bisque firing.

Instead of using traditional glazes, the bisqued jar is nested among carefully selected organic materials—and tightly wrapped in foil. This creates a localized "saggar," a sealed, miniature atmosphere that traps the elements inside. The wrapped jar is placed into the kiln. As the temperature rises, the organic materials inside the foil envelope catch fire, vaporize, and desperately seek a way out.

Once the firing is complete and the foil shield is stripped away, the magic is revealed. No glazes were used to paint this vessel; every flash of color, smoky gray, and earthy blush comes purely from the vaporized organic materials reacting with the intense heat.

Care & Longevity

Because Naked Raku is an alternative, low-fire ceramic process, your Dream Jar requires different care than everyday, high-fire kitchen stoneware. It is a delicate piece of art meant to be preserved for generations.

  • Keep It Dry (Decorative Use Only): Naked Raku remains porous because it is fired at a lower temperature and lacks a traditional vitrified waterproof glaze. Do not fill your jar with water, as it will seep through the clay body. It is designed strictly for dry use—holding written intentions, crystals, or holding space on your altar.

  • Indoor Display: Keep your vessel indoors. Exposing it to freezing temperatures, rain, or intense, direct outdoor elements can weaken the clay and damage the smoke-imbued finish.

  • Cleaning & Dusting: Never put your jar in the dishwasher or submerge it in water. To clean, simply wipe it down gently with a dry, soft microfiber cloth.
